When most people cook a London broil, they throw it in the oven for the most part. You rarely see anybody trying to cook a London broil on a grill. It’s a tough piece of meat, probably the toughest steak you can buy, which is why it’s usually pretty cheap. Nonetheless, I attempted to cook a London broil on a Blackstone to see if I could get it slightly more tender than usual. Here’s how I did it. Of course, with any steak, the first goal is to season it. As with most steaks, I will always use kosher salt, fresh ground pepper, a little garlic salt, and a little onion salt. With this London Broil, I added a nice heavy blend of extra virgin olive oil to soak those spices in and soften the meat. Did it work? Did this London Broil come out more tender than most? Well, all you have to do is watch the video below. It’s only a couple of minutes long, so you can see how it went.
Watch step-by-step as we season and grill this steak to perfection (or not), and get a close look at the final results. Whether you’re a Blackstone cooking enthusiast, steak lover, or just someone looking to save money on tougher cuts, this video is a must-see.
